How your results are handled
Your school report and marks deserve clear handling. This page explains what happens in the current Future Plug website.
Reports and text extraction
The website reads a report file in your browser. For an image or scanned PDF, text recognition runs on your device. The extracted text is sent to the Future Plug matching service to detect subjects and marks. Review and correct the results before using them.
Matching requests
When you start a match, the confirmed subject names, percentages and selected school grade are sent to the matching service. It uses them to compare currently available programme rules and sends results back to your browser. Do not upload documents containing information you do not want processed for this purpose.
Saved results
Choosing “Save on this device” stores the returned matching results in this browser’s local storage. They can be removed by clearing this site’s browser storage. Saved results may become outdated; run a new check to see updated records.
External services and links
The site requests programme, bursary and deadline information from its backend service. It also loads web fonts from Google. Google Analytics measures visits and page use on this site through cookies and similar identifiers; Google may receive device and usage information. We do not send school report text or confirmed marks to Google Analytics. Links to institutions and funders open their own sites, where their privacy practices apply. The hosting provider may process standard connection information needed to deliver the pages.
