University and TVET routes can lead to different qualifications. Start with your interests, then check the published entry rules for each programme.
University entry requirements vary by qualification and institution. One university may calculate an APS from six subjects while another uses its own score and required subjects. Some programmes also select applicants on rank, interviews or portfolios. A published minimum only tells you when you can be considered.
TVET study can offer practical and vocational routes. Entry levels and subject requirements differ by programme. Some NC(V) Level 2 routes are intended for learners with Grade 9 or higher, while other qualifications may expect a matric certificate. Check the college’s own prospectus before applying.
